The Fresh Catch
Located in the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor Johnny’s Harborside opened in 2005 and has become a local’s favorite. The dining room features windows all around with fabulous views of the Harbor and out to the bay. Johnny’s is a great place to meet for a work lunch, romantic dinner or a special occasion. The menu, although designed around fresh seafood, truly has something for everyone. Johnny’s works to accommodate special dietary needs and has a gluten free menu.
We use fresh seasonal ingredients from local suppliers to offer an array of flavors. The spices and sauces that dress the various fresh fish and seafood are inspired by Mediterranean, Pan Asian, and California cuisines.
There is always something “Happening” at Johnny’s Harborside from our ever popular 3 course $20 Gourmet on Monday nights to Brunch on Sundays. We constantly strive to bring you delicious and interesting specials and menu items that will have you coming back for more.

From the inception the mission of Johnny’s Harborside has been to have the best fresh seafood in Santa Cruz. Not to mention great service, in a comfortable atmosphere, accompanied by an amazing view!
It was John Mesa’s vision and passion that brought Johnny Harborside into reality. He along with Jeff and Sheri Moise opened Johnny’s on June 30, 2005. The Johnny’s mission statement had been their goal since before that opening day. John sadly left us too soon. He passed away August 31, 2006 after a short fight with Pancreatic Cancer.
The Kash family joined the Moises in running Johnny’s in 2010. They took over full ownership in late 2014 and continue to fulfill John’s mission today. The rest of the staff at Johnny’s Harborside is committed to supporting that mission and ensuring that every guest experience is the best it can be. We look forward to serving you.
